Andrew Smith - Biography

Andrew Smith is a talented singer / songwriter who was blessed by god with a gift for the arts. He holds a minor in graphics and obtained a major in fine arts from Northwestern. Although he was born in Carolina, Andrew was raised and schooled in Miami, Florida where he sang in a choir. As a young adult, Andrew sang in his local church choir, which participated in programs on annual church conventions, at Jacksonville Florida, and also sang at other church functions on Miami beach and the liberty city area. Throughout his life, Andrew has enjoyed singing, songwriting, painting, sculpting, and studying art. Although, his music is a collection that was inspired from within, Andrew holds a great deal of respect for artists such as Aretha Franklin and Barbara Streisand for their level of artistic diversity. It is a joy to his soul to be able to sing, and if it were up to him he would sing all day long. The high points of his life have been through the pleasures of everyday events, and the high point of his career has been through his experience with Horse-Drawn Productions.

Andrew Smith has been working as a professional singer / performer since the mid seventies. He has worked as a studio musician. He has sang at many church denominations, and private functions, and at a church in Kentucky for Theodore Gray (a devoted Christian minister who was in the military and met Andrew in Europe.) He has performed in many local churches throughout the Evanston area, including his home church on Ebenezer and Central, and throughout Chicago and on the Westside. Andrew has also done personal performances all over Chicago, at weddings, home-goings, and private parties.

Andrew has sang at many Illinois church denominations, and private functions (weddings, homegoing funeral, etc.).
He has also sang in Kentucky at church, for Theodore gray at a revival. Theodore Gray is a dear devoted Christian minister who was in the military and met Andrew in europe). He has performed at many local and westside churches throughout the Evanston area including his home church on Ebenieser and central in Evanston Illinois.
Andrew has done personal performances throughout Chicago at weddings, homegoings, and private parties. Working from the mid 70’s throughout the present as a professional singer / performer.
